KWC history
KWC was founded in the 1991-1992 school year to work with middle school students in Berkeley County, SC.  After a few years the focus was shifted to work with elementary children to try to reach children when they are most receptive.  In the years since it was founded, KWC has served over 40,000 children, and has awarded over $55,000 in grants to the winning schools to buy equipment and supplies for the enhancement of environmental teaching.
